How Did Christ Spend 3 Days and 3 Nights in the Earth? What Actually Happened?

- About the “three days and three nights”: the Jews counted any part of a day as a day and night. His time in the grave spanned part of Friday, all of the Sabbath, and into the first day, fulfilling both “after three days” (Mark 8:31) and “the third day” (Luke 24:7).
