Jesus Rose a Great While Before Day. Why and Can We Estimate How Long He Took?

As for how long, the Bible does not give a precise length. The wording and the story show He prayed from the pre-dawn darkness until after daybreak when the disciples found Him—likely a sustained period, not a moment.
