What Proof Is There That God and the Bible Is Real?

God is real, and the Bible is His Word. He proves Himself by creation, fulfilled prophecy, the risen Jesus Christ, the witness of the Holy Spirit, the power of the Word in changed lives, and His promises confirmed in those who believe.

- Creation’s witness: The Bible says creation itself testifies of God. “The invisible things of Him… are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made” (Romans 1:20). “Every house is builded by some man; but He that built all things is God” (Hebrews 3:4). “The heavens declare the glory of God” (Psalm 19:1).
- Fulfilled prophecy (Israel and the nations): God said Israel would be scattered and later gathered again (Deuteronomy 28:64; Ezekiel 36:24; Ezekiel 37:21–22; Hosea 3:4–5). We are living in the very hour the prophets spoke of; that sign nation stands as a living witness that the Word keeps its course.
- Fulfilled prophecy (Messiah): The Scriptures foretold the Messiah’s birth in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2), His suffering and atoning death (Isaiah 53), the piercing of His hands and feet and the casting of lots (Psalm 22:16–18), His being “cut off” after the appointed time (Daniel 9:26), and His resurrection (Psalm 16:10). Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled these; “God was manifested in the flesh” (1 Timothy 3:16).
- The risen Christ: The Gospel declares Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day, seen by many witnesses (1 Corinthians 15:3–8). “This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses” (Acts 2:32). He is “the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

- Design demands a Designer. If a house requires a builder, how much more the universe? That’s exactly what Hebrews 3:4 says.
- Foretold events that come to pass show a Mind behind the Book. The prophecies about Israel and the Messiah are too exact to be accident.
- A dead man cannot raise himself. Jesus rose as the Scriptures said, and the same Jesus continues to change sinners into saints—exactly as the Word promises.
- The Bible reads you while you read it. Only the breath of God can pierce the heart and remake a life as Hebrews 4:12 describes.
